As Marketing Executive, for the UK’s leading school food caterer, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering compelling omnichannel marketing campaigns which drive engagement with both clients and customers across both Primary and Secondary State schools sector, as well as maintain stakeholder relationships.

In addition, you will be responsible for the creation, development and measurement of parent facing meal uptake campaigns across online and offline channels.

More about the role:

  • Understand and communicate the Chartwells Schools and Academy value proposition through all touchpoints and communications

  • Work with Head of Marketing to develop and implement omnichannel creative and content plans, calendar for key activity throughout the year and support the launch of new menus on schedule, on budget and ensure operational efficiency across primary and secondary school estate.

  • Manage and deliver a range of campaign projects and activities, including internal and external communications, direct and digital marketing, social media as well as in-unit events

  • Prepare and write copy of marketing content for online and offline media

  • Social media planning – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn

  • Work with Sector Communications to deliver web and social media client engagement comms calendar.

  • Lead Sector Operator engagement and own end-to-end execution of all in-unit marketing offers and campaign to ensure that they are effective and can be executed well at a local level.

  • Responsible for the creation of operational briefing documents.

  • Creation and development of parent facing meal uptake campaigns across digital and print marketing

  • Support sales and retention in delivery of insight led, client focussed and differentiated client propositions including presentation to client.

  • Gather insight on competition activity and communicate market insights internally

  • Engage with external agencies and business stakeholders to ensure best practice

  • Market research

  • In addition to this, you will be responsible for reporting on key campaign metrics and keeping up to date with industry trends to suggest your own ideas for best practice and campaign success.

  • Responsible for creation of engaging promotional marketing materials that will drive consumer awareness of products through 3rd party design agencies

  • Ideally 1-2+ years’ experience in marketing or communications role implementing marketing campaigns within the hospitality, FMCG or foodservice sectors.

  • Strong organizational skills to deliver multiple projects to deadline with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Team player with the ability to build and leverage relationships at all levels

  • Ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload and operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-sufficient and proactive, a quick learner who demonstrates initiative

  • Creative thinker, willing to share ideas

  • Tenacious and results focused
