Overall Purpose of the Role:
Duties Include:
- Writing and checking medical diet menus for different allergies, intolerances, and medical conditions
- Supporting and mentoring key contracts in the South
- Regular communication with parents, schools, catering teams and medical professionals
- Completing medical diet audits across our schools
- Delivering training workshops to catering teams
- Reporting any incidents & working with HSE to investigate
- Being highly visible on the ground to support our colleagues
- Involvement in key projects and delivery of these projects across the business
- Being a key representative of the medical diets team to operators, clients and schools
Person Specification:
- Must have degree (BSc) in Nutrition or other relevant degree
- Experience in working with people with allergies and intolerances is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Experience using nutritional analysis system such as Saffron (or equivalent) desirable but not essential as full training provided
- Excellent IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt communication to a range of stakeholders including clients, parents, and pupils
- Excellent organisation skills with ability to manage a busy inbox and a high volume of workload
- Confident in communicating to large groups of people and controlling challenging meetings/conversations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrates can do attitude
- Passion for keeping up to date with latest nutrition research and legislation
- Must be willing to travel and stay away from home occasionally
