The Project Manager - Mobilisation & Business Projects plays a pivotal role in delivering a diverse portfolio of projects, including new site mobilisations and strategic business initiatives. You’ll lead projects end to end, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and within budget, while providing hands-on, proactive support to operational teams and clients. For mobilisation projects, you’ll guide operators through every stage of implementation and continue to provide support post go-live, helping sites embed change, resolve issues and achieve their intended outcomes.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, organisation and communication skills, working closely with operators, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to align delivery with both strategic and operational objectives.
What you’ll be doing
- Project & mobilisation delivery
- Manage a portfolio of business and mobilisation projects aligned to the wider business strategy
- Lead end-to-end mobilisation projects, coordinating resources, schedules and operator support
- Ensure all projects are delivered to agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards
- Provide post go-live support, helping operators and clients achieve operational and service objectives
- Client & stakeholder management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during mobilisation projects
- Manage expectations, address queries and maintain high levels of client satisfaction
- Maintain strong communication with Executive Board members, Project Sponsors and senior stakeholders
- Provide clear visibility of progress, risks and outcomes across the project portfolio
- PMO, governance & best practice
- Apply PMO principles consistently across all projects and mobilisation activity
- Share lessons learned and best practice to improve future mobilisation and project delivery
- Support and coach SMEs in PMO processes and tools, embedding consistent standards
- Operational excellence & continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, mobilisation outcomes and operational performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project and mobilisation activity
- Maintain client engagement post-mobilisation to ensure objectives are achieved and sustained
- Collaboration, safety & ways of working
- Foster a collaborative, team-focused approach across projects and functions
- Participate in site visits and face-to-face meetings as required
- Ensure all project and mobilisation activity complies with HSE policies and procedures
About you
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing large-scale, complex projects
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to high standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership, organisation and decision-making capability
- Advanced analytical skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency
- PRINCE2 or equivalent (Agile, Scrum or Waterfall)
- Demonstrates integrity, pace and personal ownership
Desirable
- 5+ years’ experience managing large-scale, complex projects
- Lean Level 2 / Six Sigma Green Belt
