We are recruiting an experienced Catering Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, capable of overseeing all catering and service operations for Chartwells on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Catering Manager, you will ensure kitchens and service counters operate smoothly and deliver outstanding food experiences. Note: This role is contracted to 46 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing high-standard, delicious food
- Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure quality and service excellence
- Managing catering operations, inventories, budgets, and implementing action plans
- Monitoring KPIs and targets with your line manager
- Representing Compass Group UK&I positively
- Driving sales through new food or service concepts
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and liaising with teams
- Supporting and training staff to excel
- Implementing health & safety standards and ensuring compliance
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about great food and service
- Minimum two years catering management experience
- Experience managing teams
- NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate
- Strong financial skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ambitious and eager to upskill
