Duties

  • Writing and checking medical diet menus for different allergies, intolerances, and medical conditions
  • Supporting and mentoring key contracts in the South
  • Regular communication with parents, schools, catering teams and medical professionals
  • Completing medical diet audits across our schools
  • Delivering training workshops to catering teams
  • Reporting any incidents and working with HSE to investigate
  • Being highly visible on the ground to support our colleagues
  • Involvement in key projects and delivery of these projects across the business
  • Being a key representative of the medical diets team to operators, clients and schools

Person Specification

  • Must have degree (BSc) in Nutrition or other relevant degree
  • Experience working with people with allergies and intolerances is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Experience using a nutritional analysis system such as Saffron (or equivalent) desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to a range of stakeholders including clients, parents, and pupils
  • Excellent organisation skills with ability to manage a busy inbox and a high volume of workload
  • Confident in communicating to large groups of people and controlling challenging meetings/conversations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrates a can-do attitude
  • Passion for keeping up to date with latest nutrition research and legislation
  • Must be willing to travel and stay away from home occasionally
