As a Kitchen Porter, you'll be an essential member of the kitchen team, ensuring chefs have everything they need to deliver exceptional food service. From washing kitchen equipment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting food preparation, you'll help keep one of the country's most prestigious educational catering operations running smoothly.
Shift Information
- Shifts available Monday to Sunday throughout term time
- Primarily Monday to Friday, with weekend shifts available
- Weekend work is ideal for students
- Typical shift times: 7:00am – 2:00pm or 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Flexible working to suit your availability
What You'll Be Doing
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment
- Operating commercial dishwashers
- Keeping kitchen, wash-up and food preparation areas clean and organised
- Assisting with deliveries and correctly storing stock
- Removing waste and recycling safely
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety
- Following Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH and Manual Handling procedures at all times
- Working efficiently as part of a busy and supportive kitchen team

- Minimum 3 months previous Kitchen Porter or Catering Assistant essential
