We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef/Baker to join our ESS Offshore relief/adhoc team mobilising from Aberdeen and Norwich. As an integral member of the team, you will perform a variety of tasks associated with the preparation, cooking, baking, presentation and serving of food to the highest standards with due regard to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations to ensure the efficient and effective running of the unit in line with contractual requirements.
Other Responsibilities:
- Promote a safety culture across the unit ensuring all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times e.g. Food Handling, Manual handling, Fire procedures.
- Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork is maintained correctly on a continual basis to ensure full compliance.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery is in safe working order; all faults/repairs are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensuring that all meals are provided to the required quality standards at the specified times to create a consistent customer experience and avoid any service failures or penalties.
- Proactively develop and continually improve all client and customer relationships.
Our Ideal Chef Baker:
- Proven track record working as a Chef / Baker.
- Real passion for food.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Motivated to deliver consistently high standards of food and service quality.
You will also need to have the following essential certification:
- BOSIET/FOET including CA-EBS rebreather.
- MIST.
- OGUK & Food Handlers Medical.
- City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or equivalent.
- Bi-Deltoid Shoulder Measurements.
- Bakery experience/qualification.
It would also be preferable to have the following desirable certification:
- First Aid certification.
