Subway Manager
Salary: £30,500 per annum
Location: Swansea
Contract: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Variable shifts
We're currently recruiting a dedicated Subway Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy Subway restaurant within Compass - One Retail.
As a Subway Manager, you will use your leadership, operational and people management skills to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales and performance, and ensure full compliance with Subway brand standards. Your key responsibilities may include:
- Leading, motivating and developing your team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Subway® restaurant and ensuring all brand standards are consistently met
- Recruiting, training, coaching and developing team members
- Producing staff rotas to meet business needs while controlling labour costs
- Monitoring financial performance, including sales, labour costs and stock control
- Driving sales through local marketing initiatives, promotions and events
- Ensuring all deliveries are checked, stored and managed efficiently
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels through ordering and inventory management
- Managing cash controls, business records and administrative duties accurately and on time
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Handling, Food Safety and Hygiene standards
- Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Building positive relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Delivering a consistently excellent customer experience and resolving customer queries effectively
Our ideal Subway Manager will:
- Have previous management experience within a restaurant, quick-service restaurant, hospitality, catering or foodservice environment
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Be commercially aware with experience of managing budgets, sales and costs
- Be confident analysing sales and performance data to drive business results
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- Have a positive, proactive and flexible approach to work
- Possess a good understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
- Be willing to work hands-on across all areas of the restaurant when required
What you'll need:
- Confidence using POS systems and basic administrative tools
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and undertake light to moderate lifting
- Flexibility to work variable shifts in line with business requirements
