We are currently recruiting for a skilled Sous Chef to join one of our Vacherin contract catering sites at Newmark GE. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and driven chef to support the delivery of high-quality food in a dynamic corporate environment, while working as part of a dedicated and professional kitchen team. Salary: £37,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 7:00-15:30

Location: West-End – Closest TUBE: Googe Street

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the kitchen’s daily operation, from prep through to service
  • Plan and prepare all food offerings independently, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Manage time effectively to balance food prep, cooking, and service during quieter and busier periods
  • Handle all stock control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimising waste
  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and fully compliant with company procedures
  • Adapt service according to demand, from light days (e.g. sandwiches) to busier periods
  • Manage any occasional client requests or small-scale events, including basic fine dining elements (not of an elevated nature)
  • Be confident in decision-making and problem-solving without direct supervision
  • Liaise with the Manager and Hospitality Assistant
