Do you have experience delivering outstanding service in a VIP, premium, or fine-dining environment? We are recruiting experienced VIP Waiting Staff to join our team at Cheltenham Racecourse and help deliver an exceptional dining and hospitality experience to guests throughout the 2026/27 season. The racing season gets underway in October 2026, and we are looking for professional, enthusiastic individuals to work across our premium a la carte restaurants and hospitality suites.

Ideal applicants will be local to Gloucestershire or the surrounding areas and available to work across the majority, preferably all, of the race meetings listed below:

  • The Showcase 2026: Friday 23 October & Saturday 24 October 2026
  • The November Meeting 2026: Friday 13 November, Saturday 14 November & Sunday 15 November 2026
  • The Christmas Meeting 2026: Friday 11 December & Saturday 12 December 2026
  • New Year's Day 2027: Friday 1 January 2027
  • Festival Trials Day 2027: Saturday 30 January 2027
  • The Festival 2027: Monday 15 March 2027 – Training Day; Tuesday 16 March – Friday 19 March 2027 – Live Racing
  • The April Meeting 2027: Wednesday 14 April & Thursday 15 April 2027
  • Race Night 2027: Friday 30 April 2027

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional table service within VIP and fine-dining environments
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Confidently serve food and beverages to guests
  • Present, open and pour wine and champagne to a high standard
  • Answer menu questions and provide knowledgeable recommendations
  • Maintain excellent presentation and professionalism throughout service
  • Remain calm, attentive and composed during busy service periods
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless guest experience

Skills & Experience:

  • We are looking for individuals who take genuine pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • 18+ only
  • Previous experience in VIP, fine dining, luxury hospitality or high-end events
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confident with wine and champagne service
  • Knowledge of wine pairing is desirable, although full training will be provided
  • Professional, well-presented and confident manner
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Positive, can-do attitude and strong team-working skills
  • Reliable and committed to working across the racing season
