Be the engine room behind matchday! Constellation is looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porters (KPs) to join our matchday catering team at Northampton Saints. As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role behind the scenes, keeping our kitchens clean, organised and running smoothly while the action takes place on the pitch. It’s a busy role where you’ll need to be hands-on, energetic and happy to get stuck in.
You’ll be:
- Local to Northampton and able to easily get to Franklin’s Gardens
- 18 or over
- Ideally experienced as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar hospitality environment
- Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet throughout a shift
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Happy getting stuck into a hands-on role where no two shifts are the same
What will you be doing?
- Moving cages and equipment around the venue
- Receiving and collecting deliveries and helping to move stock into the correct areas
- Washing pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Keeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout service
- Supporting chefs and the wider catering team wherever needed
- Emptying bins and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Cleaning floors, surfaces and equipment
- Ensuring kitchens remain safe and ready for service
- Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Helping with the set-up and breakdown of catering operations on matchdays
Experience & attitude matter
Previous Kitchen Porter, hospitality, catering or warehouse-style experience is desirable, particularly if you’ve worked in a busy pub, restaurant, stadium or events environment. Most importantly, you’ll need to be reliable, hardworking and ready to get stuck in. This is a physical, fast-paced role, so a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
