The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Technical Storesperson to take ownership of stores, equipment, and safety processes within a dynamic training environment. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play a vital part in supporting the safe and effective delivery of training activities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing all day‑to‑day stores operations, including equipment issue, return, maintenance, and record‑keeping
- Overseeing PPE, technical kit, and safety equipment, ensuring all items are fit for purpose and compliant
- Conducting maintenance checks, servicing, and turnaround of equipment
- Managing inventory, stock control, purchasing, and budget tracking
- Supporting carriage of equipment plans, clothing systems, and asset lifecycle management
- Supervising groups during kit issue and providing guidance on equipment use and care
- Maintaining COSHH and POL stores in line with legislation
- Supporting risk management, safety reporting, and compliance with Total Safety Directives
- Assisting with training delivery and wider unit activities where required
- Acting as a key link between internal teams and stakeholders
About You:
- Experience in stores, logistics, or technical equipment management
- Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance processes
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident working in a hands‑on, operational environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support and guide others
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications & Requirements:
- First Aid (16hr Outdoors) – Essential
- Enhanced DBS – Essential
- Willingness to complete required training (e.g. PPE, MTB Maintenance)
- SIA / technical or outdoor qualifications (desirable)
- D1 driving licence (desirable)
