Marketing Manager - Various Racecourses | Full-Time / Permanent

We are looking for a hands-on marketing professional to support the delivery of conference and events marketing activity across a selection of Jockey Club racecourses.
This role is focused on helping venues generate awareness, enquiries and revenue for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, private events and selected ticketed events outside of race days.
It is a practical delivery role designed to work well on a part-time basis.
You will focus on agreed priorities, coordinate activity across different stakeholders and help bring campaigns to life in a clear, organised and commercially useful way.

- Marketing Manager - The Role
- Campaign Delivery
- Support the delivery of agreed marketing plans and priority campaigns that promote conference and event spaces across selected racecourses.
- Work with sales, venue and central marketing teams to understand commercial priorities and turn them into practical marketing actions.
- Attend selected planning meetings to identify gaps, opportunities and moments where marketing can support C&E revenue growth.
- Coordinate campaign activity from brief through to delivery, keeping stakeholders updated and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain a simple marketing and communications calendar so activity is planned, visible and manageable within the part-time hours.
- Content, Email & Social Media
- Deliver priority campaigns across email, social media, owned channels, print and content marketing.
- Create, schedule and post relevant social media content for see venues and campaigns.
- Brief, build and send targeted email campaigns that support enquiries and bookings.
- Write and coordinate content for campaign briefs, email communications, social posts, venue updates and sales support materials.
- Keep key C&E website content up to date and work with the digital agency to support campaign landing pages and lead generation.
- Client, Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate the promotion of third-party and client events through owned channels, working with clients, venue teams and internal stakeholders to maximise value and visibility.
- Work closely with venue teams, sales colleagues and operational stakeholders to understand priorities, upcoming opportunities and local venue stories.
- Liaise with internal teams, including The Jockey Club’s central marketing department, to ensure activity is on brand, accurate and joined up.
- Brief designers, printers or agencies when needed to deliver brochures, flyers, venue screen content and other marketing collateral.
- Work with other C&E marketing colleagues and the Head of C&E Marketing to agree priorities, share updates and keep delivery realistic within the part-time structure.
- Review & Reporting
- Track key campaign activity and share simple updates with stakeholders on what has been delivered, what is planned next and where future activity could be improved.
- Follow internal processes around data protection, email marketing compliance and customer data.
What we're looking for
- Previous hands-on marketing experience, ideally within events, venues, hospitality, leisure or a multi-site environment.
- Good working knowledge of core marketing channels, including email, social media, website content and basic digital marketing.
- Confident delivering campaigns, coordinating briefs and managing activity through to completion.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload within part-time hours.
- Good writing skills and confidence creating simple marketing content.
- Comfortable using basic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe applications.
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and able to keep people informed, aligned and moving forward.
- Comfortable working remotely, independently and with colleagues across multiple sites.
