Salary: £48,000 | Full-Time | London | 7 day operation
Ready to help shape something exciting from the ground up? We’re looking for an ambitious, creative and hands‑on Senior Sous Chef to join one of London’s newest event venues. Open for less than a year, the venue is growing quickly and already establishing itself within the capital’s events scene. This is a lively seven‑day operation, delivering events across weekdays, evenings and weekends. You’ll work across a varied rota, supporting everything from corporate functions to large‑scale hospitality experiences. No two days will be quite the same—and that’s exactly what makes the role so exciting.
Working closely with the Executive Chef, you’ll help develop menus, lead the kitchen team and deliver exceptional food for every event. It’s a fast‑paced, collaborative and genuinely fun environment where your ideas will be welcomed and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Executive Chef with creative and seasonal menu development
- Leading the kitchen team during events, preparation and service
- Working hands‑on to deliver consistently excellent food
- Planning and organising production for events of different sizes and styles
- Inspiring, coaching and developing the kitchen team
- Maintaining excellent food safety, allergen and hygiene standards
- Managing stock, food costs and waste
- Helping build a positive, energetic kitchen culture
- Bringing new ideas to a growing venue and evolving food offer
What we’re looking for:
You’ll be an experienced Senior Sous Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready for the next step, ideally with a background in events, banqueting or high‑volume hospitality. You’ll be creative, organised and calm under pressure, with a hands‑on leadership style and a real passion for delivering memorable food experiences. As this is a seven‑day events venue, you’ll also need the flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends according to the event schedule.
What’s on offer:
- £48,000 salary
- A creative role in one of London’s newest hospitality venues
- The chance to influence menus, standards and kitchen culture
- Variety, with an exciting and constantly changing events calendar
- Career progression within a growing business
- A supportive, passionate team that enjoys what it does
If you’re a driven chef who loves the energy and variety of events, this is your opportunity to help create something special.
