Location: Royal College of Pathologists, London, E1 8QT

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday between 8:00-18:00, 40 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Conversion: Respond to incoming MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) inquiries via phone and email, aiming to maximize conversion rates.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of 17 colleagues, including a Senior Sales Executive, two Sales Executives, chefs and front-of-house team members, promoting a high-performance culture and ensuring exceptional event delivery and guest experiences.
  • Business Development: Proactively generate leads, cold call, and network to build a robust pipeline of new corporate clients and repeat business.
  • Showrounds & Pitching: Conduct site visits and deliver compelling presentations to showcase venue capabilities, catering options, and audiovisual facilities.
  • Quotation & Contracting: Create accurate, competitive proposals and negotiate event packages while adhering to pre-payment and pricing policies.
  • Event Coordination: Produce detailed event orders and communicate client requirements to the catering and operations teams to guarantee seamless execution.
  • Financial Administration: Issue contracts and final invoices, chase payments, and maintain accurate client databases.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience: 1–2 years in hotel sales, event coordination, or corporate hospitality sales.
  • Commercial Acumen: A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a confident, professional telephone manner.
  • Organization: Strong time-management skills to juggle multiple inquiries and detail-oriented administrative tasks simultaneously.
  • Software Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office and specialized hospitality management software (e.g. Korbyt, Opera, Delphi, or similar booking platform).
