Location: London, EC2V 7EL

Rate of Pay: £31,756.68 per annum plus a 10% performance‑related bonus

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 7:30am – 16:00pm, overtime paid at a premium of 1.5

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Service Delivery
    • Supervise the day-to-day restaurant and hospitality operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
    • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of presentation.
    • Ensure all food and beverages are prepared, presented, and served to company and client standards.
    • Coordinate daily service requirements, staffing levels, and operational priorities.
    • Monitor service quality and take corrective action where necessary to maintain standards.
    • Assist with hospitality events, meetings, conferences, and special functions if required.
    • Ensure service areas, dining rooms, and hospitality spaces are prepared and presented to a high standard.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise, motivate, and support catering and hospitality staff.
    • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to team members.
    • Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational requirements effectively.
    • Monitor staff performance and contribute to performance reviews.
    • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained throughout service periods.
    • Promote teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Customer Service
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues.
    • Handle customer enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
    • Ensure all customers receive a friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable service.
    • Promote a customer‑focused culture throughout the team.
  • Financial & Stock Control
    • Assist with stock ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management.
    • Participate in monthly stock takes and maintain accurate records.
    • Monitor waste levels and implement measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Support the Retail Manager in achieving budgetary and financial targets.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies and statutory regulations, including Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH, Health & Safety legislation, and Allergen Management.
    • Conduct regular checks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, and health and safety concerns promptly.
    • Ensure all team members wear the correct uniform and personal protective equipment where required.
  • Administrative Responsibilities
    • Complete daily operational records and reports accurately.
    • Maintain attendance, training, and compliance records.
    • Assist with scheduling and rota planning as directed by management.
  • Occasional Responsibilities
    • Attend company meetings and training sessions as required.
    • Support other catering locations or departments when operationally necessary.
    • Assist with special events, hospitality functions, and client visits.
    • Undertake additional duties consistent with the level and responsibilities of the role.
