Role Overview

We are excited to welcome a Food Service Assistant to join our contract team in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and professional service to customers, exceeding their expectations whenever possible.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in food and beverage areas, including the kitchen, dining room, and coffee shop.
  • Assist with food preparation, service, handling, and storage as directed by your Line Manager.
  • Ensure all displays, counters and seating areas comply with company and statutory health and hygiene requirements, including but not limited to Food Information Regulations and Reference Intake labelling.
  • Support the management and upkeeping of storeroom areas.
  • Assist when required with the loading or unloading of deliveries to unit.
  • Check all items against delivery notes, or an invoice and report to Line Manager any stock, or goods discrepancy.
  • Ensure planograms for retail stock are adhered to and fully compliant with company brand standards.
  • Actively seek and pass on customer feedback to improve service quality.
  • Upsell products and demonstrate excellent knowledge of offerings to customers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance work activities and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly, including Food Safety and Health & Safety documentation.
  • Support stocktaking procedures to minimize waste and ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Assist with loading and unloading supply vehicles as needed.
  • Flexibility to work in other units within a reasonable distance when required.
