We are looking for an ambitious and people-focused Deputy General Manager to support a large, multi-outlet catering operation across two neighbouring sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to play a key role in shaping food culture, team engagement, and operational excellence.

Operating Monday to Friday, the sites include 4 restaurants and 10 micro‐kitchens/tea points, supported by a team of approximately 55 colleagues. You will work closely with the General Manager and Restaurant Managers, providing oversight, structure, and leadership across daily service and long‐term planning.

This role suits someone with strong operational experience who is passionate about food, understands current food trends, and enjoys developing people in a fast‐paced environment. Candidates from a restaurant or multi‐site hospitality background are very welcome.

What you will do:

  • Oversee daily breakfast and lunch operations across both sites
  • Ensure allergen processes and briefings are followed to the highest standard
  • Support Restaurant Managers with service standards and team leadership
  • Take responsibility for budget management and cost control
  • Lead health & safety compliance and best practice
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing people development
  • Manage HR‐related activity including meetings, engagement, and performance support
  • Plan and deliver pop‐ups, cultural events, and EIG‐led celebrations
  • Work collaboratively with culinary teams to reflect food trends and innovation
