As a Chef at the RAF Museum London, you will play an important role within one of the UK’s most historic and inspiring aviation attractions, helping to deliver high-quality food across the site. Working as part of the kitchen team, you will support the preparation and service of food for both the retail visitor café and the conference & events catering operation. This venue is predominantly retail food-led, making it an excellent opportunity for a chef with experience in high-volume food production and a passion for delivering quality dishes. Success in this role means ensuring visitors consistently enjoy fresh, well-prepared food, whether dining in the café or attending conferences and events at the RAF Museum London.

Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Service – Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard across all service areas.
- Quality Standards – Ensure all dishes meet company and client expectations for quality, presentation and taste.
- Food Safety & Hygiene – Maintain excellent food hygiene standards and comply with all food safety legislation and company procedures.
- Stock Management – Assist with stock control, rotation and minimising wastage.
- Teamwork – Work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service and a positive customer experience.
- Event Catering Support – Assist in the preparation and delivery of catering for conferences, functions and large-scale events.
- Dietary Requirements – Support the preparation of dishes that meet allergen, dietary and nutritional requirements.
About You
- Previous experience as a Chef, Chef de Partie or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
- Experience in contract catering, visitor attractions, hospitality or high-volume catering is desirable.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for food and delivering excellent customer experiences.
- Reliable, organised and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements.
- Willingness to work a flexible rota including weekends and busy event periods.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
