The Role
Working under the Head of Events, you will lead an experienced floor‑manager team to deliver corporate catering events at the QEII Centre, the largest dedicated conference and exhibition space in Central London.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily running of corporate catering events
- Conduct on‑the‑job training of staff and ensure effective deployment of staff in line with event requirements
- Ensure that uniform standards are upheld to the highest standard
- Demonstrate full alignment to the organisation’s vision and values by doing the right things
- Demonstrate a can‑do attitude towards client requests and strive to exceed expectations
- Prioritise allergies and specific dietary requirements
- Promote the welfare of staff members
- Maintain polite and courteous service to all clients and customers, ensuring satisfaction
- Ensure that all displays, counters and seating areas comply with company and statutory health and hygiene requirements
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills to lead, engage and motivate the team in delivering events
- Act as the first point of contact for catering on the event day, providing friendly and professional customer service
- Background in conference and event management
- Experience running events for up to 1,500 attendees
- Experience in running catering events and banqueting
