We're looking for a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of one of the restaurant floors at The Conduit - one of London’s leading private members’ clubs. In this exciting role you will be supporting the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional service, strong team performance and commercial results. This is a hands‑on role, leading from the floor, developing the team and ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for members and guests.

Birchwood at The Conduit, led by chef Will Devlin, is a brand-new cafe and wine bar that will bring a fresh, ingredient‑led approach rooted in seasonality and sustainable sourcing. Expect bold, thoughtful dishes and a space designed for connection in the heart of Covent Garden.

The role
  • Lead floor service to deliver a seamless, engaging guest experience
  • Build strong guest relationships, personalising service based on preferences
  • Monitor standards and resolve issues proactively
  • Act as a brand ambassador and uphold company values
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team through coaching and feedback
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture with clear communication
  • Oversee daily operations, including setup, service flow, and opening/closing procedures
  • Coordinate across FOH, kitchen, and bar while maintaining high standards and compliance
  • Drive operational performance, including efficiency, stock control, and continuous improvement
