This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Sous Chef looking to step up into their first Head Chef role, or an established Head Chef looking for their next challenge.

As Head Chef, you’ll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, from food production and menu development through to team leadership, food safety and commercial performance.

  • What you’ll be responsible for
  • Take full ownership of the kitchen operation and food production.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing culinary team.
  • Develop innovative, seasonal and commercially focused menus.
  • Drive food trends, creativity and continuous improvement across the operation.
  • Manage food costs, labour, purchasing, stock and waste effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and operational stakeholders.
  • Create a positive kitchen culture based on teamwork, accountability and development.
  • Champion sustainability, responsible sourcing and waste reduction.

You’ll ideally have

  • Previous contract catering experience – essential.
  • Experience as a Head Chef, or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up.
  • Experience managing a busy, high-volume kitchen operation.
  • Strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for developing people.
  • Excellent food standards and a creative approach to menu development.
  • A strong understanding of food safety, compliance and kitchen controls.
  • Good commercial awareness, including food cost, labour and waste management.
  • The confidence to work with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • A calm, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
