What will I be doing?
At SEC Food, our logistics team is essential in ensuring that our culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently across all events.
We handle the comprehensive logistics involved in managing food and beverage supplies, from procurement to delivery and storage.
Our responsibilities include, coordinating the timely delivery of catering produce, managing inventory levels, ensuring that produce is stored and handled according to health and safety standards and providing seamless delivery of produce to each area on event days.
- SEC Food Expectations on Shift
- Working alongside our current logistics team members to provide support to all events across the campus, from Conferences to Hydro events.
- Responsible for quantity and quality checks of stock, delivering to each area as required.
- Complete set up of all areas ahead of service, from stock movement to area builds.
- Identifying logistical problems, communicating appropriate solutions and working cohesively as a team.
- Overseeing the receipt and delivery of goods.
- Assisting with stock checks and completing regular inventory counts.
- Working alongside the Operations Team to provide support on event, to ensure smooth and professional catering service is provided to client and customers.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety at work procedures, as well as ensuring correct PPE usage.
- Keep breakages and wastage to a minimum, recording any wastage.
- Cellar management inclusive of keg changing, maintenance and stock rotation.
- Adherence to Levy policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous cellar experience desired, including changing kegs and handling gas bottles safely and efficiently.
- Strong stock inventory management skills, with the ability to accurately monitor and record stock levels.
- Practical knowledge and confident use of pallet trucks to move goods within a warehouse or retail environment.
- Experience in manual handling tasks, demonstrating safe lifting techniques and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently as a lone worker, maintaining productivity and safety without direct supervision.
- Forklift operation experience is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25kg.
