We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to join our team in Edinburgh.
Rate of Pay: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, daytime hours, occasional evening overtime and weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard
- Looking after the staff restaurant
- Reporting directly into the Executive Head Chef
- You will manage the day to day running of the stunning roof top staff restaurant encompassing a breakfast and lunch service
- The Restaurant includes hot food, sandwich deli, health bar, street food and a wide range of pre-packed/freshly made items
- Leading a team of 7 chefs
- The ability to serve 300+ covers each day
- This is much more than your usual workplace dining and you will bring creativity, style and flair to the daily offer
- To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customers
- To ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus
- To develop and plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectations
- To be creative when menu planning and including the client and customers
- Pride yourself on food quality and hygiene standard
- Overall responsibility for managing the kitchen team
- Provide feedback and coaching on performance
- To ensure that the kitchen team have completed up to date COSHH and Food Hygiene training

- Background in fresh food
- Have a sound understanding of all aspects of kitchen management including financial, safety and people processes
