At the heart of our operation, our Kitchen Porters play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. If you bring great energy, a positive attitude, and a strong can-do mindset, we’d love to hear from you! We’re currently looking for Kitchen Porters & Catering Assistants to support ad hoc bookings across the Cheltenham/Gloucester area. This is a great opportunity to work Monday to Friday, with early starts from 7am.
Please note: Previous experience in cold food preparation and washing up is required, and black safety shoes are essential.
Main Responsibilities- Being polite, friendly and professional with colleagues and guests
- Communicating effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware are thoroughly cleaned before and after service
- Cleaning cooking utensils during preparation (mise en place) and service times
- Keeping kitchen work areas clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Removing kitchen waste to designated areas
- Assisting with set-up and clear-down, ready for the next service
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Operating cleaning machinery as trained and in line with company policy
- Following all Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH procedures
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
