We’re looking for a passionate and driven Chef Manager to lead our on-site culinary operation at one of our key contracts in Doncaster. If you\’re a skilled chef with management experience who thrives in a high-volume, quality-driven environment—this is your chance to shine.
You’ll be at the heart of everything food on-site—leading, inspiring, and rolling up your sleeves to deliver great food and great service every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading a 12-person team to deliver daily food service to 350 customers across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and night shift offerings
- Cooking and presenting fresh dishes to high standards
- Managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including:
- Stock, ordering, and food cost control
- Team training, compliance, rotas, and development
- Health & Safety, food safety (HACCP), allergen management
- GP monitoring and food waste minimisation
What We’re Looking For
- Proven culinary background with hands-on cooking experience
- Previous management or team leader experience in a catering environment
- Strong understanding of compliance, HSE, and food safety regulations
- Confident with ordering, stock control, and driving profitability through efficient kitchen management
- A collaborative leader – able to motivate and coach others
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism
Nice to Have:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or above
- Experience working in B&I or contract catering sectors
