Pay & Hours

  • £28,579 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week (5 out of 7 days)
  • 1 weekend in 4 (2-week rotating rota)
  • Early shift: 06:30 – 14:00
  • Late shift: 11:00 – 20:00

Meal Service Times:

  • Breakfast – 07:00 to 08:30
  • Lunch – 12:00 to 13:30
  • Evening meal – 17:30 to 18:30

About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dedicated team at Kendrew Barracks, Cottesmore. You’ll be part of a small, supportive kitchen team delivering freshly prepared meals for service personnel, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and allergen control standards
  • Support kitchen operations and assist senior chefs during service
  • Help with stock control, menu input, and day-to-day kitchen organisation
  • Work collaboratively within a small team to deliver a consistent, positive dining experience

  • Previous experience essential in a professional kitchen or similar environment
  • Qualifications desirable (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent)
  • Passion for great food and high standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible and reliable, able to work a mix of early and late shifts
