This is a varied role combining Catering Service Assistant and Kitchen Assistant responsibilities, including Kitchen Porter duties. You\'ll support the preparation and service of meals while helping to maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen. Whether you\'re serving food, assisting with basic food preparation or keeping the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes, you\'ll play an essential part in delivering a high-quality catering service.

Shift Information
- Monday to Friday shifts
- Daytime working hours (shift times vary depending on service requirements)

What You\'ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of food
- Providing friendly and professional customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
- Setting up and replenishing food counters and displays
- Clearing and cleaning dining areas throughout service
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation
- Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment
- Operating commercial dishwashers
- Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organised and well maintained
- Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and storage
- Removing waste and recycling safely
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
- Following Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and allergen procedures at all times
- Working collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive catering team

What We\'re Looking For
- Minimum 6 months previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience is essential
- Experience of working in a school or educational environment is preferred
- Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individuals
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy catering environment
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and follow food hygiene procedures
