Head of Compliance & Quality Assurance to lead quality, compliance, governance and health & safety across our soft services contract at

Addenbrooke's Hospital .

This is a pivotal leadership role supporting essential patient-facing services .

Working closely with operational leaders and NHS stakeholders, you'll ensure services are safe, compliant, efficient and consistently deliver an exceptional experience for patients, visitors and staff.

Reporting to the Contract Director and leading a team, you'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and operational excellence across a complex healthcare environment.

This role requires you to be on site, five days per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Compliance & Quality team, creating a strong culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all compliance, quality assurance, audit and health & safety activity across the contract.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, KPIs, regulatory requirements and Compass policies.
  • Provide expert guidance on risk, governance, contract performance and compliance matters.
  • Lead audit programmes, monitoring activities and performance reporting, ensuring robust corrective action plans are implemented.
  • Work in partnership with operational teams to improve service quality, efficiency and patient experience.
  • Build strong relationships with NHS stakeholders, supporting trust, transparency and service excellence.
  • Drive innovation, benchmarking and improvement initiatives across multiple service lines.

About You

  • Significant experience in a senior Compliance, Quality, Audit or Governance role.
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements, healthcare compliance standards & infection control frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of contractual performance frameworks, SLAs and KPIs.
  • Experience working within healthcare, facilities management, hospitality or another highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, auditing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven people leader with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, governance, health & safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and reporting skills.
  • ISO Lead Auditor, healthcare compliance or project management qualifications are advantageous.
