Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the kitchen team.
- Plan, prepare and deliver fresh, high‑quality menus for breakfast, lunch, hospitality and corporate events.
- Create innovative seasonal menus that meet client expectations and dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Manage food purchasing, stock control and supplier relationships.
- Monitor food costs, labour costs and kitchen budgets.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, allergen management and health & safety regulations.
- Conduct regular stock takes and minimise food waste.
- Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff.
- Work closely with site management and clients to ensure service excellence.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
- Deliver exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen operation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience managing food costs, budgets and stock control.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Passion for fresh food and innovative menu development.
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience within corporate, business and industry, hospitality or contract catering environments.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management.
- Relevant culinary qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Experience delivering hospitality and conference catering services.
