We are looking for a confident and capable Retail Kiosk Chef to join our team for the upcoming cricket season at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role where you will often be working independently within a retail kiosk environment. You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and comfortable managing your own section during busy match days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of fast-paced, high-quality food items including pizzas, loaded fries, hot dogs, curries, and other street food-style dishes
- Managing your own kiosk during service, ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
- Delivering excellent customer service and clear communication with both customers and team members
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising waste
Requirements:
- Experience at Commis Chef level or above
- Ability to work confidently alone in a busy environment
- Strong communication skills
- Solid understanding of food allergens and dietary requirements
- Relevant chef/catering qualification (essential)
- A positive attitude and the ability to perform under pressure
