We are currently recruiting for a

Digital Transformation Manager (Fixed-Term Contract), This is a Hybrid role, working with Compass Group brands and CH&CO stakeholders.

Salary

£65,000 - £75,000 DOE + company benefits.

Location: Hybrid role with regular travel to CH&CO sites and client locations across the UK.

Working pattern: Hybrid working. Weekend and out-of-hours working may occasionally be required to support technology cutovers, site deployments and POS replacement activities.

About This Role

The Digital Transformation Manager will lead the replacement and transformation of life-expired POS and payment technologies across CH&CO.

The role will manage end-to-end deployments from discovery and stakeholder engagement through to installation, decommissioning and operational handover, ensuring sites are migrated successfully with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer and Client Satisfaction
  • Build strong relationships with Operations Directors, Regional Managers, Site Teams and Client Stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary technology contact for POS replacement programmes.
  • Support business teams in understanding technology options available to them.
  • Liaise directly with client IT teams regarding network, infrastructure and security requirements.
  • Ensure smooth transition with minimal operational disruption.
  • Market Leadership
  • Drive technology modernisation initiatives across hospitality operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience through updated POS and payment technology.
  • Ensure technology solutions remain aligned to industry standards and best practice.
  • Champion innovation whilst balancing commercial and operational practicality.

  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS requirements and company standards.
  • Manage suppliers, third-party installers and internal deployment teams.
  • Oversee decommissioning and disposal of legacy equipment.
  • Coordinate installation schedules and deployment plans.
  • Ensure network connectivity, payment processing and POS functionality are validated before handover.
  • Manage project plans, risks, issues and reporting using Monday. com.
  • Maintain detailed records throughout deployment lifecycle.
  • Health & Safety
  • Follow Compass Group Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all site activities are planned and conducted safely.
  • Complete site risk assessments where required.
  • Ensure all third-party contractors work in accordance with site safety requirements.
  • Report hazards, incidents and near misses in line with company procedures

Experience

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale POS replacement or technology transformation programmes.
  • Strong hospitality, retail or food service technology experience.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting to leadership teams.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and installation partners.
  • Experience managing equipment deployment and decommissioning activities.
  • Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of hospitality POS environments.
  • Good understanding of payment processing ecosystems and payment supply chains.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS requirements.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure requirements for POS and payment devices.
  • Knowledge of change management and business engagement practices.
