Food & Beverage Assistant Manager – Eastwood Hall, Nottingham
We are looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager for our beautiful venue,Eastwood Hall– Restaurant, Bar, Room Service & Conference & Banqueting
£13.75 + excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, 23 days\’ annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.
Your Role:
To help lead and develop the Food & Beverage Services Teams.
- Responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation within all food and beverage service areas
- Understand and plan for the forthcoming business to ensure that we deliver consistently high levels of service
- To be responsible for the efficient running of Conference & Wedding Event, Restaurant services and Bars
- Ensure all the food and beverage services team have a sound knowledge of our food and beverage product and service
- To contribute to business strategy discussions to ensure the maximum results for the business are achieved.
- To help support the Food and Beverage Managers in regards to the quality and profitability of all Food and Beverage outlets, ensuring revenue is maximised through correct billing and accounting procedures.
- To work alongside the Head Chef ensuring that standards of both food service and production are consistently high and that the agreed standards are maintained and regularly tested and reviewed.
- To review on a regular basis the guest feedback obtained from clients, both internally and externally, and to ensure quality levels are consistently maintained to the agreed levels and evaluate and monitor standards within the Restaurant and Bars and Conference & Event Operation and make improvements where necessary. Supplying the highest levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back of house areas
- To ensure that all F&B SOP’s are up to date and in place
- To maximise productivity and minimise poor labour times and waste of staff hours with effective rostering, working to budgeted payroll targets set against forecasted revenue where directed from the Food & Beverage Manager
- To carry out Duty Management shifts
- To ensure the Restaurant, Bars, Conference and Banqueting are always organised to meet business demands, with particular attention being given to stock controls and payroll
- To understand and to participate in all target setting activities within the team and to ensure that these are communicated effectively to all other team members and achievements are reviewed and also communicated
- To encourage ethos of driving for results ensuring quality is not compromised
- To support the Food & Beverage Manager in the responsibility for all beverage related stock items and to order all beverage items for the bars in accordance with business levels and to ensure that only agreed suppliers are utilised
- To ensure that there are effective Beverage controls and systems in place that will produce acceptable results from monthly stock takes
- To ensure that all food and beverages are served in good time, all service specifications are adhered to
- To motivate our Food & Beverage Team by being confident, through your personality being dynamic and positive at all times, leading from the front.
- Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to ‘make things happen’ to achieve or exceed anticipated results and encourage the same in the team.
- To carry out training to continually improve the skill base of the Restaurant, Conference & Bar Teams.
- Ensure all Training provided is documented and signed off by relevant staff, and that a personal development plan is in place for every member of the team.
- To be actively involved in the recruitment and selection of the Food Services Team when directed from the Food & Beverage Manager.
- To support the Food & Beverage Manager in implementing and continually reviewing the effectiveness of all Health and Safety Practises and procedures to ensure that Food & Beverage teams fully complies with all legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
- To participate in all stock inventories at specified intervals and to be active in controlling stock in accordance with the agreed budget.
- To ensure compliance within the Bar and Restaurant with Legal, Government and Company Policies relating to, Fire, Health and Safety procedures and ensure team are fully conversant with their responsibilities also.
- To support the Food & Beverage Manager ensure that Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments are carried out, reviewed yearly, training staff in all aspects
