The Role
As a Garage Equipment Engineer, you will carry out service, repair, installation and calibration work on a wide range of workshop equipment. You will be field-based, visiting customer sites across Berkshire and ensuring equipment is safe, compliant and performing at its best.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and repairing vehicle lifts, compressors, tyre changers, wheel balancers and brake testers
- Installing new equipment and completing commissioning documentation
- Carrying out LOLER/PUWER inspections and producing accurate reports
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Communicating clearly and professionally with customers
- Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards
- Managing your own workload and travel between sites
What You'll Need
You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience working with garage equipment (e.g., Ravaglioli, Hofmann, Tecalemit, Bradbury, Rotary)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Confidence working with single-phase and three-phase systems
- Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and MOT equipment regulations
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and deliver excellent customer service
- A positive, professional approach to your work
