Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Advisor role based in Yate. The Mortgage Advisor will meet with clients to assess their borrowing needs, gather and review financial information, and recommend suitable mortgage products from a broad panel of lenders. Responsibilities include explaining mortgage options and associated risks, advising on related insurance and protection products, and ensuring all recommendations comply with regulatory and company standards. The role involves preparing applications, liaising with lenders and other stakeholders to progress cases, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The Mortgage Advisor will also contribute to client acquisition and retention through proactive communication, professional service, and ongoing relationship management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Mortgages and Mortgage Marketing, with the ability to match products to diverse client needs.
- Solid understanding of Finance and Financial Planning to assess affordability and advise responsibly.
- CeMAP qualified (or equivalent recognized mortgage advice qualification), with up-to-date regulatory awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused and ethical approach to advice.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases and documentation accurately.
- Previous experience in mortgage advising, banking, or financial services is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working in an on-site team environment in Yate, with a proactive attitude to learning and professional development.
