Job Description
We are looking for a non-working supervisor to oversee the timber frame and drylining packages on a new site in Folkestone Kent.
This is a site-based role to ensure the smooth running of the timber frame and drylining packages, ensuring that all elements meet the required standards.
Key Requirements:
- Construction / housebuilding background (site supervision / contracts manager etc)
- Good understanding of timber frame / drylining
- CSCS Card (Manager level preferred).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Excel, MS Project, etc.).
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred but not always essential).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Scheduling / workforce planning
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of team members
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Ensure health and safety compliance, reporting any incidents or accidents
- Monitor progress, workforce, and material delivery in collaboration with project teams & contracts managers
- Act as a liaison between project teams and contracts managers
- Maintain records (attendance, performance, H&S & Quality)
- Identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement
- Oversee waste management to ensure full utilisation of materials and minimise waste.
