Chartway Partnerships Group is a leading South East land-led housebuilder, specialising in the development of new homes and communities in partnership with housing associations, landowners and investors.

To support our plans, we\’re looking for a Land Manager, to join our Land Team on a permanent basis out of our offices in Kings Hill, Kent.

Responsibilities

As Land Manager, you’ll be actively seeking out land opportunities whether via enquiries, searches or direct approaches, overseeing negotiations and evaluating development potentials and site feasibility. The role involves proactively identifying and pursuing land opportunities through enquiries, searches, and direct approaches. It requires negotiating land interests and leading price discussions through to acquisition. Building relationships with agents and landowners to unlock potential development sites is key, alongside evaluating each site\’s development potential and overall feasibility.

Responsibilities also involve producing Land Purchase Approval Packs for corporate review, attending regular land meetings with the Land Team and Managing Director to provide updates on acquisition activity, and preparing and circulating New Site Briefing Notes to ensure internal stakeholders are informed of potential opportunities.

About you

You’ll come from a similar position, with experience in Land Acquisition, ideally from a private developer. The role requires specialist knowledge and proven experience in appraising development opportunities, with a strong grasp of land acquisition processes, site evaluation, market research, and the production of feasibility assessments and cash flows.

A solid understanding of the planning system and procedures is essential, along with good local knowledge of the regional area and its associated markets. The ideal candidate will also bring a well-established network of land agent contacts and a proactive approach to growing and maintaining those relationships.
