Chartway Partnerships Group is a leading South East land-led housebuilder, specialising in the development of new homes and communities in partnership with housing associations, landowners and investors. Right now, due to our growth plans, we are looking for a Land Buyer, to join our Land Team on a permanent basis out of our offices in Kings Hill, Kent.
Responsibilities
As Chartway’s Land Buyer, you will support the Land Managers and Land Director to acquire residential and mixed-use sites in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and Essex.
You will be maintaining relationships with land agents and promoters to generate new opportunities for the group, then manage the end to end bid process for new sites, including briefing and managing internal teams.
You’ll be responsible for running appraisal scenarios on new pipeline sites, updating and managing the group land tracker and supporting the legal and compliance processes for site purchases i.e. drafting Board purchase packs, drafting and reviewing Heads of Terms, reading land purchase contracts, responding to enquiries.
About you
You’ll come from a similar position, with experience in Land Acquisition, ideally from a private developer. Excellent IT and organisation skills, be organised, and have a sound understanding of the planning system & procedures, and a good knowledge of the regional area and associate markets.
