We are seeking a dedicated Lighting Measurement Engineer to join our client\’s team based in Cheshire, North West.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the Electrical Engineering Department, specialising in photometric measurement and light testing for vehicle exterior and interior lighting components.
As a key member of the Exterior Lighting Team, you will be responsible for measuring lighting sources using goniometers, spectrometers, and imaging colourimeters, producing detailed test reports, and maintaining calibration of measurement equipment. You will oversee dark room and light tunnel facilities, ensuring precise data collection and validation aligned with safety standards.
The ideal candidate will hold an HND or degree in electrical or electronics engineering, with proven experience in photometry, optical testing, and vehicle lighting systems such as headlamps, tail lamps, displays, and ambient lighting. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN) are essential. Candidates proficient in Microsoft Office and working with CAD environments to support design engineers will thrive in this role. Some international travel may be required.
