Perceived Quality (PQ) / Craftsmanship Engineer – Coventry
At Chartsign, we’re partnering with a leading automotive client to identify a dedicated Perceived Quality (PQ) / Craftsmanship Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on elevating the visual quality of vehicle interiors and selected exterior components, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and finish across materials, trim, and assemblies.
In this position, you\’ll collaborate closely with design and engineering teams, analysing interior and exterior components through gap and flush assessments, sectional analysis, and CAD tools such as Catia. Your expertise will help refine craftsmanship, aligning styling intent with technical feasibility, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal candidates will have a background in perceived quality, craftsmanship, or fit-and-finish engineering within the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of interior and exterior components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
