We are currently recruiting Fabricator Welders on behalf of our well-established client based in Barnsley.
This is a permanent opportunity offering either day or night shifts, allowing you to choose the schedule that best suits you.
Working in a busy fabrication workshop, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steel components while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble structural steel components, including: Universal Beams (UBs) Universal Columns (UCs) Parallel Flange Channels (PFCs) Circular Hollow Sections (CHSs) Carry out cutting, grinding and welding to specification.
Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Safely operate hand tools, fabrication machinery and measuring equipment.
Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment where required.
Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all health and safety procedures.
About You We're looking for candidates who have: Previous experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good physical fitness and the ability to handle steel materials safely.
A safety-first approach with a good understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred (but not essential): A recognised qualification in Fabrication and Welding.
