Warehouse Supervisor in Barnsley, Carlton

The Role The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, supervising and supporting colleagues within the warehouse team whilst working alongside other key departments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor looking to join a stable and growing food manufacturing business. Key Responsibilities * Processing incoming orders * Using Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks * Transferring and moving supplies around the site and storing stock appropriately using correct stock rotation procedures * Maintaining minimum and essential stock levels and accurately recording stock movements * Preparing despatch paperwork * Reconciling all pallets loaded against customer orders before despatch * General warehouse administration duties * Complying with all health and safety legislation and maintaining a clean and organised working environment * Reporting machinery or equipment defects and supporting maintenance activities when required * Attending training and development courses as appropriate Qualifications & Experience * Experience working within a warehouse environment * Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience * Experience using Counterbalance forklift trucks is essential * Experience using Reach forklift trucks is essential * Good standard of education * NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing or equivalent welcomed Skills * Forklift truck operation * Basic Food Hygiene Certificate preferred * Fully conversant with Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel * Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills * Capable of working independently and using own initiative * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work to deadlines Benefits * Pension Scheme * 264 holiday hours per year (pro rata if part-time) * Health Shield Plan * Cycle to Work Scheme * Discounted Gym Membership Applicants must be flexible in their working hours and days to meet the needs of the business.
