Due to the expansion of our Lettings portfolio, Charters Estate Agents have an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Tenancy Manager to join our team and help drive our successful Lettings operation. The role will be based in our flagship Southampton Branch within an established team of Lettings Experts.
It involves:
- Handle all documentation related to the Pre-tenancy process, including inventory reports, check-in reports, deposits and pre-tenancy compliance.
- Ensuring the property is clean and compliant for the move in to take place.
- Registering the Deposits and issuing the relevant legally required paperwork.
- Act as the main point of contact for both landlords and tenants throughout the pre-tenancy process, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or queries promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of property inventories, ensuring that any discrepancies or damages are documented and addressed appropriately.
- Regular communication with internal teams, specifically End of Tenancy, Property Management and the Lettings teams to ensure a smooth operation.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations governing the pre-tenancy process, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
We’re looking for individuals with qualities such as:
- Previous experience in Lettings Management or a related field beneficial.
- Knowledge of the UK rental market highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with landlords, tenants, and third-party contractors.
- Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and regulations governing the tenancy process.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
This role requires excellent customer service skills to effectively engage with clients.
