We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Jira Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize our Jira environment to support cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and business functions. This role is responsible for maintaining Jira workflows, permissions, automations, integrations, and reporting while ensuring a seamless user experience and alignment with organizational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Jira Cloud/Server environments, including projects, workflows, issue types, schemes, dashboards, and permissions.
- Configure and customize Jira to support Agile delivery processes across multiple teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain Jira automations and integrations with tools such as Confluence, GitHub, Slack, CI/CD platforms, and service management systems.
- Support users with troubleshooting, onboarding, training, and best practices.
- Manage user access, security settings, and governance standards.
- Create and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports to provide visibility into project performance and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, PMO, and operational stakeholders to improve workflows and tooling efficiency.
- Lead Jira optimization initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
- Monitor platform performance, system health, and licensing utilization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator in a fast-paced technology or enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in Jira configuration, workflow design, permission schemes, and automation.
- Experience with Atlassian ecosystem tools including Confluence and Jira Service Management.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Experience integrating Jira with development and collaboration tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Atlassian certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Groovy, ScriptRunner, or REST APIs.
- Knowledge of DevOps workflows and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Jira environments.
