We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Support Analyst to join our growing team in London. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in commodities trading operations who enjoys problem-solving, working closely with technology teams, and supporting critical business systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting internal trading platforms, ensuring the smooth processing of trades and orders, and collaborating with both business users and technical teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of the internal trading systems used for booking trades and managing orders executed on commodities exchanges.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for trade and order entry processes, investigating and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with exchange support teams and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents.
  • Collaborate closely with software development teams by providing user feedback, identifying system improvements, and communicating enhancement requests.
  • Assist with data analysis and ad-hoc reporting using SQL queries.
  • Support business users by identifying process improvements and contributing to operational best practices.
  • Monitor system performance and escalate issues where appropriate to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities for system upgrades, enhancements, and new releases.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3–6 years of experience in a trading operations, application support, or operations analyst role within financial services.
  • Solid understanding of commodities markets and commodity derivatives financial instruments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and reporting purposes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
