We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Administrator to join on a contract basis. You will be responsible for the administration and optimisation of our Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence environments, supporting teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Jira Software
- Administer projects, boards, workflows, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Configure issue types, screens, and custom fields to support team needs
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for engineering and leadership
- Support agile delivery — sprints, backlogs, and roadmaps
- Jira Service Management
- Configure and maintain JSM projects including queues, SLAs, and request types
- Build and improve service portals for internal and external users
- Implement automation rules to streamline ticket routing and resolution
- Confluence
- Manage spaces, permissions, templates, and page structures
- Support teams in maintaining documentation and knowledge base content
- Integrate Confluence with Jira for cross-tool visibility
- General Administration
- Manage user provisioning, access control, and licence administration
- Build and maintain Atlassian Automation rules to reduce manual processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues across all tools
- 2–4 years of hands-on Atlassian administration experience across Jira Software, JSM, and Confluence
- Strong understanding of workflow design, permission schemes, and project configuration
- Experience with JSM portal setup, SLA configuration, and automation
- Proficiency with Atlassian Automation; ScriptRunner / Groovy knowledge is a plus
- Comfortable managing users, groups, and licences in Atlassian Cloud or Data Center
- Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification desirable but not essential
- Able to work independently and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
