The Channel Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for acquiring, developing, managing and growing relationships with Charterhouse’s channel partners. This role focuses on driving revenue through effective partner engagement, enablement, and joint go-to-market activities. The ideal candidate is commercially astute, highly proactive, and experienced in the Unified Communications, networking, or cybersecurity sectors.

Partner Relationship Management

  • Find own and manage a portfolio of strategic channel partners, acting as the primary commercial point of contact.
  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with all key stakeholders across partner organisations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to track performance, pipeline, and strategic alignment.

Revenue Growth & Sales Execution

  • Achieve channel sales targets through effective partner management and business development.
  • Support partners with opportunity identification, qualification, and closure.
  • Forecast partner revenue and provide accurate reporting to leadership.

Partner Enablement & Development

  • Educate partners on Charterhouse’s product portfolio, value proposition, and competitive advantages.
  • Deliver sales training, onboarding, and ongoing enablement programmes.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create joint campaigns, events and lead-generation initiatives.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Develop joint business plans with partners, setting clear objectives, KPIs and growth strategies.
  • Support the creation and execution of co-branded sales materials and propositions.
  • Identify and recruit new partners aligned with Charterhouse’s overall channel strategy.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Product and Service Delivery teams to support partner needs.
  • Provide partner feedback into product development and commercial strategy discussions.
  • Represent the channel within internal planning and strategy sessions.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in channel sales or partner management within UCaaS, CCaaS, cybersecurity, connectivity, IT services or adjacent technology sectors.
  • Ability to lead and present sales opportunities on behalf of the channel partners.
  • Strong understanding of the reseller, distributor, and MSP ecosystem in the UK.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to articulate value to partners.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for partner meetings, events, and industry conferences.
