Charterhouse is a leading co‑educational independent school set on a beautiful 250‑acre campus in Surrey. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well‑qualified Teacher of Classics to join our successful and forward‑thinking Classics Department.
The role involves teaching across the spectrum of Classics subjects offered here: Latin runs through to A Level and IB, alongside Ancient History at GCSE and Classical Civilisation at A Level. The ability to teach Greek at GCSE and A Level is desirable. The successful candidate will inspire pupils through excellent teaching and contribute positively to departmental and whole‑school life.
The post includes pastoral responsibilities as a Tutor linked to a boarding house and involvement in co‑cultural activities such as trips, societies, theatre visits, and academic competitions. This position is suitable for experienced teachers or outstanding graduates with strong classical credentials.
