We are seeking an experienced and proactive Financial Controller to join a growing company. This is a pivotal role where you will lead financial control, governance, and reporting across our regional operations, ensuring alignment with group policies and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for financial control across the region, ensuring compliance with group accounting policies
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure balance sheet integrity
- Support group risk management and internal audit processes
- Lead the preparation of monthly regional management accounts and reporting to Group Finance
- Oversee regional statutory reporting and audit processes
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the regional finance team
- Systems & Continuous Improvement
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven finance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of UK statutory reporting and group controls
- Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage
- Familiarity with finance transformation projects and system improvements
