Charterhouse is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Physics to join our dynamic and academically ambitious Science Faculty from September 2026. Physics at Charterhouse is thriving. Based in the recently refurbished Observatory Building, the department combines excellent facilities, strong pupil uptake and a culture of curiosity, ambition and enjoyment of the subject.

Pupils are encouraged to explore Physics well beyond the syllabus through Olympiads, competitions, research projects and lectures, supported by a highly skilled technician team and a strong tradition of practical, engaging teaching.

The successful candidate will teach Physics across the age and attainment range of the School, including IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma pathways. We are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom presence and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young people. This role would suit a recent graduate, an experienced teacher, or someone looking to move into the independent sector.

As a full-time member of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also contribute to the wider life of this busy and vibrant boarding school community, including pastoral and co-curricular activities.
